Professional Awards Course Offers Continuing Development Opportunities for Health Professionals and Educators

 

As the educational landscape evolves, the demand for specialised skills in addressing specific learning difficulties continues to grow. In response to this need, Bellavista S.H.A.R.E proudly announces the launch of its Professional Awards Course, which is accredited by the British Dyslexia Association, SACE and  The Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA). The course is designed to empower health professionals and educators with comprehensive insights and specialised expertise.

The 18-month program is aimed at health professionals and educators dedicated to making an impact on learners with literacy and dyslexia, mathematics and dyscalculia challenges. Tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants, the course provides a structured pathway towards enhancing teaching skills and fostering effective interventions.

Key Highlights of the Professional Awards Course:

In-depth Modules. Participants will delve into theoretical underpinnings and practical applications through four modules in their chosen specialisation. Each module offers a rigorous exploration of essential concepts, equipping participants with a deeper understanding of effective teaching strategies.

Collaboration and Engagement. The course emphasises effective collaboration strategies, ethical considerations, and engagement techniques to involve parents as integral team members. Participants will learn how to create a supportive environment conducive to student success.

Assessment Mastery. Acquiring essential assessment and profiling techniques is paramount for designing personalised interventions. The course provides participants with the necessary tools and insights to conduct thorough assessments and tailor interventions to individual student needs.

Evidence-Based Practices. Synthesising evidence-based practices with intervention strategies, participants will learn how to integrate the latest research findings into their teaching methodologies. By leveraging evidence-based approaches, educators can maximise the impact of their teaching efforts.
