Richards Bay Maths teacher scoops Global Teacher Award

A Richards Bay Maths teacher Sandile Mathebula has become the latest South African teacher to scoop a prestigious Global Teacher Award.

AN INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR A RICHARDS BAY MATHS TEACHER

‘Maths-Son’, as he’s fondly referred to by his learners, won in the category of the Best Maths Teacher in the Global Teachers’ Awards held in India earlier this month – a huge accomplishment for a 29-year-old who hails from Ncotshane, a humble village in Pongola, north of KwaZulu-Natal.

Mathebula who has more than five years in teaching doesn’t only teach Mathematics, he also has a knack for Physical Science.
