Minister Angie Motshekga embarks on oversight and monitoring visits to Joe Gcabi Education District, 21 Jul

The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga, will on Thursday 21 July 2022 embark on an oversight and monitoring visit in Barkley East in the Joe Gcabi District, Eastern Cape.

The minister’s visit will include a visit to Malikhanye Senior Secondary School in Barkly East and later visit the district office site before a three session engagement with District Education Forum (DEF), District Management Team and lastly the FET Principals in the district.

This visit forms part of the monitoring and oversight visits embarked upon by the Ministry of Basic Education with the aim of ensuring that district and school in particular are assisted to improve the learner performance across all grades.

The minister will be accompanied by the officials of the Department of Basic Education and Eastern Cape Provincial Education.
