Matric exams | Gauteng Education Dept concerned about bomb threats

JOHANNESBURG – The Gauteng Education Department is concerned by bomb scares at some high schools in Boksburg.

The department says the scares affected the writing of the matric exams.

Spokesperson for the department, Steve Mabona, explains.

“The threats were quite serious. We had to call the police, this caused unnecessary panic as learners had to write,” he said.
