The Free State learner who allegedly stabbed a physical science teacher to death will not be writing his matric exams.
Simphiwe Mondli, 20, allegedly attacked and stabbed 35-year-old Matefo Mphosela at her residence in Soutpan on Thursday night 20 October.

Mondli made his first court appearance and also asked for an opportunity to be allowed to write his exams through his legal aid appointed lawyer.
Free State Education spokesperson Howard Ndaba told The South African that the Brandfort Magistrate’s Court denied the 20-year-old’s request to be released in order to write the exams.
