Free State MEC applauds 119 markers who saved exam scripts when roof blew off

Markers who saved the 2021 Free State examination marking centres were applauded for their bravery.The 119 markers were working when the roof of their centre was blown away.One marker was injured, and the scripts were saved.

A team of 119 markers who risked their lives to save the 2021 matric exams in the Free State have have been hailed as heroes.

Education MEC Dr Tate Makgoe visited the Albert Moroka High School marking centre in Thaba Nchu on Tuesday to announce its state of readiness.

The school was hit by a natural disaster, with a storm blowing its roof off and injuring a person, on 15 December 2021.
