Deputy Minister Dr Reginah Mhaule to conduct a Section 58b school visit to Sapphire Secondary in Sedibeng District, Gauteng

The Deputy Ministers Basic Education Dr Reginah Mhaule will on Tuesday, 27 September 2022 conduct a Section 58B School visit to Sapphire Secondary School in Bophelong, Vanderbijlpark in the Sedibeng District in Gauteng.

This will be the Deputy Minister’s second visit to the school following the Deputy Minister’s initial visit during the Sedibeng DDM Presidential Imbizo.

The preliminary school visit formed part of the Deputy Ministers precursor events as part of the Performance Improvement Strategy under the programme Poor Performing District Improvement Strategy. It was during the briefing session with school staff and SMT that the Deputy Minister adopted the School with the intention to assist the school come out of its Section 58 B classification.

Deputy Minister Mhaule will meet with the School Governing Body (SGB) and School Management Team (SMT) including the parents of the Grade 12 learners before taking time to motivate the learners as they prepare to write their final examinations.
