About
Eagle’s Nest Ministries, Sa, situated at 27536 Tambo Street Phase 5 Wallacedene 7570, operates as an independent primary school within the Kraaifontein East 1, Wallacedene, City Of Cape Town urban suburb of Western Cape Province, South Africa.
Eagle’s Nest Ministries has grown out of Dave and Celia Goddard’s calling to impact education in disadvantaged areas of South Africa by setting up Christian primary schools. The vision of the ministry is to uplift these communities by providing the children with an education of excellence, irrespective of their social or financial background.
Founded in 2006, the Eagle’s Nest is the ministry’s first school with many more to open in the future. The school is situated in Wallacedene, an informal settlement near Cape Town and in three years has grown from 30 to 80 children, with an expected growth of 30 children each year.
Many of the children we work with are from very poor homes made from corrugated iron or even black bags and cardboard. The stark reality is that many come to school with empty stomachs, and lack basic necessities. In addition to educating the children, we meet these needs. Although parents are asked to contribute a nominal amount to their children’s education, we primarily rely on donations and gifts to operate.
